IISc now has the policy of considering applications for
faculty positions at all times. See the Advertisement for details.
We invite faculty applications in all
areas of Astronomy and Astrophysics, which are processed towards the
end of each calendar year. Although you can apply at any time,
your full application should reach us before 30 September of a calendar
year n if you are interested in starting a position in the
middle of the calendar year n+1. If your application
comes after 30 September, then there may be a delay of one year in
processing your application.

apply. Two hard copies of the application
should be sent to

The copy sent to Prof. Chanda J. Jog should
enclose reprints of important publications. The applicant should also
arrange to have the recommendation letters sent directly to Prof. Chanda J. Jog, either as hard copies or through e-mail.
