This is my web-home under construction (may be forever!).
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics
,
Indian Institute of Science . Before I joined here, I was in Harvard University . Prior to that
I spent my time in various Institutes/Universities in India (SINP, SNBNCBS, PRL, IUCAA)
and abroad (University of Palermo, Italy, University of Oulu, Finland) as a short term or a long term
researcher.
I am a Theoretical Physicist working on various topics of Physics, Astrophysics, Cosmology, Astroparticle
Physics and their interface. I also have significant interest in Astronomy (observation)
and Data Analysis.
Some of my specific research interest consists of:
1) Theoretical
Astrophysics including Physics of Compact Objects:
(a) Astrophysical fluid phenomena including accretion disks and jets
around compact objects, turbulence therein etc.
(b) Variability of compact objects, Quasi-Periodic-Oscillation phenomena.
(c) Nuclear astrophysics including nucleosynthesis in accretion disks around compact objects,
thermonuclear burst on accreting neutron stars.
(d) Matter flow and corresponding inertial forces around compact objects.
2) Particle Astrophysics, Cosmology and Gravity:
(a) Field theory in curved space-time, early universe, baryogenesis, neutrino physics.
(b) Investigation of the spinor, electromagnetic and gravitational perturbation
in curved space-time.
Here is my CV
and a list of publications.
